Kabile is a village in Southeast Bulgaria.
It is situated in the Tundja district, Yambol Province. The ancient city with the same name, which have been situated in the same place, once was a capital of the Thracian state.
Kabile village is situated at 3 km northwest of Yambol.
At 1,5 km northern of K. is situated the last hill of the mountain Sredna Gora - Zaychi vryh (Tavshan tepe).
Through Kabile passes the road from Yambol to Zhelyu Voyvoda village (district Sliven), as well as the road from Yambol to Drazhevo village.

Kabile is the most important and the biggest ancient town in the Thrace. It was the capital of the thracian state of the King Spartok.
Architecture remains are impressive, the most of them are preserved and restorated.

The town is founded in the end of the second millenium BC.
In 341 BC the town is conquered from Philip II of Macedon.

Kabile was an episcopal center. The town of kabile was finaly destroyed in 6-th century AD by the Avars.
During the 10-th century AD, over the ruins was founded a Bulgarian settlement.
Today's Kabile village was founded at 1.5 km in southern direction.
The first name of the village (during the Otoman Turk rule) was "Tavshantepe" (Rabbit Hill), after the nearest hill.
After restoration of the Bulgarian state, the village was renamed to "Izvor" (Spring), after the nearest water spring.
Most ot the population of Kabile works in Yambol.
Few farms аrе concerned with agriculture.
